A busy UHNW family with fully-staffed properties across the NY Tri-State area and South Florida, needs to hire seeking an experienced Property/ Facilities Manager who will oversee the maintenance and operations of their New York and New Jersey residences. The ideal candidate will have a background and knowledge of private home management, VIP service, budgeting and staff/ vendor management. Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to): managing all functions and systems of the properties, general repairs as needed, performing routine inspections of the property to check for maintenance and system problems, locking/ opening property at the beginning and end of each day or as directed by Principals, overseeing any construction and scheduled maintenance projects or repairs, directing and managing staff on property (~3-5 people), interfacing with vendors, managing and distributing packages/ mail, distributing and managing petty cash for the house and providing monthly reports and receipts, reviewing household expenses as needed, responding to emergency calls, which will require someone with a 24/7 mindset in case an issue arises outside typical work hours, and handling any ad hoc tasks that may arise.
Requirements are a minimum of 5 years’ experience doing similar work, a valid driver’s license, and comfortable working in a home with children. The right fit will be an excellent communicator, mature, tech savvy, have exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills, strong follow-up skills and attention to detail, the ability to remain calm and composed during demanding periods. A college degree is preferred but not required. The largest properties are in Northern New Jersey and in the Hamptons so someone based near either would be ideal but all candidates must be able to get to/ from additional homes, as needed. While the schedule does allow for standard time off, flexibility is required, especially when handling emergencies or during the busier seasons- requiring weekend and evening coverage. Salary range: $150-200K range with a highly competitive benefits package The current person in the role will be retiring at the end 2025 so while start is flexible, there should be some overlap.
