The role also involves engaging in developmentally appropriate activities and supporting her emotional well-being. The caregiver will handle all tasks related to the daughter’s care, including cleaning her room and bath and managing her laundry. Cooking simple, nutritious meals and snacks for her is a key responsibility – cooking occasionally for the parents is a plus. They should be calm, patient, and capable of managing agitation or distress with a steady demeanor. Strong communication skills in English are required, as the adult is verbal but not fully conversational. The candidate should be physically fit as the adult, who is petite but strong, can walk sometimes at a brisk pace, and the caregiver should be able to keep up with her. The family seeks someone who is polished, professional, and adaptable to the household’s evolving needs. A team player willing to step in and assist wherever necessary is essential. This position is suited for someone who can build a genuine, warm rapport and act as a friend and companion. Candidates should have a minimum of three to five years of experience working in private homes. The ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion is required. The caregiver must be flexible with scheduling when required. The family has had long-term caregivers and values stability and dedication. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working with a kind and appreciative family. If you are a compassionate, experienced caregiver who meets these qualifications and is seeking a long-term opportunity, we encourage you to apply. Schedule is Monday through Thursday 11am to 6/6:30pm and be available one evening a week to allow the parents to go out to dinner – approximately 30 hours a week. The parents would give advance notice about these evenings, and provide for a car service to take the caregiver home if the parents came back after 9 PM. Salary range:  $40-$45 per hour.
