Seeking a Hands-on House Manager who will participate in the upkeep of a large estate as well as assist with household management.  The position involves approximately 50% management and 50% domestic tasks (e.g. housekeeping).  The House Manager will take direction from, and will report directly to, the Property Manager.  Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Support the Property Manager (PM) with daily operations as directed
  • Maintain household inventories and supplies
  • Daily walk-throughs to check temperatures, lightbulbs, etc. to ensure everything is in working order (report issues to the PM)
  • Supervise vendors as needed
  • Organizational projects (e.g. moving, rearranging, cleaning out, storing, etc.)
  • Perform both deep and general cleaning
  • Laundry, ironing, and dry-cleaning management
  • Manage and log packages and mail
  • Provide and manage pet care
  • Run errands (must have a safe driving record)
  • Assist with ad hoc duties as needed

A “no task too big or too small” mentality is required for success in this role.  The schedule is typically Monday – Friday 9:00AM – 5:00PM/6:00PM though flexibility to work additional hours, weekends, and occasional holidays is a must. Polite, low-key, pitch-in, and egoless professionals with excellent references need only apply.  Compensation: $80K – $90K base plus benefits.

Seeking a highly knowledgeable Property Manager to provide direct oversight of the operation and maintenance of multiple properties in the tristate area.  The PM will be responsible for the day-to-day management of all home systems including but not limited to: HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, entertainment, home automation, generators, appliances, lighting, computers and networks, and security/alarm systems.  They will also coordinate, manage, and direct all associated vendors, staff (interior and exterior), and special projects such as capital improvements and renovations.  Strong computer and technology skills are required to maintain inventories, budgets, communication logs, household calendars, maintenance schedules, manuals, protocols, procedures, etc.  This position reports directly to the Principals and works closely with the Family Office.  The ability to anticipate needs, trouble-shoot, think like the Principals, prioritize competing tasks, take constructive feedback, and maintain an even-keel in rough tides is a must.

The position is based in NYC with travel to secondary properties in the tristate area as needed. Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 7 years of requisite experience.  Compensation: $150K – $225K plus benefits.
