The House Manager (HM) will ensure the smooth operation of systems, services, and staff and act as the main point of contact for all related needs.  They will understand and clearly communicate the family’s preferences, goals, and expectations to staff and other team members.  A high level of organization is required to perform all duties.  The HM will create and update maintenance schedules, household manuals, protocols, and policies.  They will manage household calendars, coordinate vendors, negotiate and review contracts, track expenses, manage detailed inventories (e.g., wine, art, and collectibles), oversee special projects, packing and unpacking, and assist the team with pet care for the family’s dogs. The HM will coordinate with other managers, Family Office personnel, accountants, and third-party service providers. A willingness to be hands-on is necessary, as is fostering, promoting, and contributing to an atmosphere of mutual respect. The schedule is generally Monday – Friday, with flexibility to work weekends and holidays as requested.  Qualified candidates will ideally have a background in domestic service and have worked their way up from a housekeeping, houseman, or butler role to one of management. The HM must have strong computer/tech, follow-up, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.  Seeking family and pet-friendly candidates with a minimum of 7-10 years of similar experience  Salary range: $150K – $175K range plus excellent benefits.
