ID# 18231
Position: Nanny, Part-time
Location: Hamptons, Live-out, Long Island, Manhattan, New York

A Manhattan family of (soon-to-be) five is seeking a part-time nanny to provide weekend coverage, with the potential to expand the schedule to three or even four days per week. The role includes all aspects of daily childcare, such as engaging the children in fun and educational activities and working alongside hands-on parents as a supportive team member. Some days will involve more family time, while on others, the nanny may plan and lead independent outings with the children. The children are also enrolled in various sports and activities, which the nanny will attend with them. Additional responsibilities include children’s laundry, light housekeeping related to the children, and preparing their meals and snacks.

The ideal candidate will be someone who can “read the room” — knowing when to take initiative and when to step back — and who thrives in both structured and relaxed environments. The family frequently spends time at a second residence in the country, so the nanny must be comfortable traveling and staying overnight (private bedroom and bathroom provided). The family is flexible with the schedule and open to the following weekday combinations, all from 7 AM to 7 PM: Saturday & Sunday, Friday–Sunday, Saturday–Monday, Sunday–Tuesday, and Sunday–Wednesday. For a weekday schedule, school drop off and pick up will be included. They currently have another nanny, whom they love, covering the opposite schedule. A valid driver’s license and swimming ability are required. The nanny must also be comfortable around dogs. A background in education or a related degree is strongly preferred. Compensation is $40–$45 per hour. Immediate hire.
