Role will include some entertaining and preparing meals for occasional dinner parties. The Chef should expect to spend 50% of the time working from the Nevada residence and the other half including heavy travel to a secondary property. Typical schedule will be Tuesday through Saturday from 10:30/11am (in time for lunch) to 7/7:30pm (after dinner). Some private home experience is a must. A couple with residences in Manhattan and Westchester County, needs to hire a full-time Executive Housekeeper to oversee the care and maintenance of four properties, three located in New York City and one in Larchmont, New York. The New York City residences include a primary four bedroom apartment for the principals, which will serve as the main work location and requires full responsibility for all cleaning, daily upkeep, and organization for a minimum of two and a half days per week. The second residence is the son’s two bedroom apartment, where the Executive Housekeeper will oversee all cleaning and maintenance while ensuring a pet friendly environment for the resident cat, requiring a minimum of one day per week. The third residence is the daughter’s studio apartment, which requires oversight of cleaning and general upkeep for a minimum of half a day per week. Twice per month, the Executive Housekeeper will work at the Westchester residence in Larchmont alongside the part time housekeeper to ensure consistent standards of care and cleanliness, conduct inspections to confirm high levels of cleanliness are maintained, address any areas requiring attention, assist with managing household supplies and inventory specific to the Larchmont home, and provide coverage when the regular housekeeper is on vacation or unavailable. Excellent communication skills are required to liaise with vendors and service providers for routine property upkeep and to coordinate with the homeowners on special projects related to home maintenance and improvement. Ideal candidates will be fluent in English and have a minimum of five years of experience in a similar Executive Housekeeper role supporting private families or high end residences. The position guarantees forty hours per week with additional overtime as needed and follows a Monday through Friday schedule with flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends. Travel to Larchmont is required on average two times per month. A driver’s license is required and a car is a plus but not necessary.
