The ideal candidate is proactive with a strong understanding of early childhood development and a team-oriented mindset in a fully staffed home. Responsibilities include: preparing healthy meals and snacks,  bathing, dressing, and maintaining a consistent sleep and routine schedule, while supporting developmental milestones by engaging the child in age-appropriate activities, educational play, and outings. The Nanny will oversee child-related organization, including wardrobe management and seasonal transitions, and maintaining clean and tidy play and living spaces. Additional duties include: assisting with travel (packing/unpacking and providing care during trips), running occasional errands, and collaborating seamlessly with other household staff. Comfort around dogs and a willingness to assist with light pet-related tasks is required. The family is seeking a candidate with a minimum of 10 years of private childcare experience, excellent judgment, and strong communication skills. A Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related child-centered field is preferred. Candidates must be flexible, travel-ready (domestic and international), CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain), and able to maintain the highest level of discretion and professionalism at all times. Responsibilities include: engaging the child in developmentally appropriate games and activities, monitoring milestones, preparing snacks and meals for the child, and handling light child-related housekeeping & laundry duties. The Nanny must be well versed in early childhood education (ideally with hands on education experience or related degree), have a valid U.S. passport, speak fluent English (though multilingual would also be great!), know how to swim, be fully vaccinated, and have a driver’s license. The family provides separate private housing, as well as a car, with lovely additional benefits such as a round-trip ticket home, insurance contribution and generous PTO and sick days. The family is planning to spend the majority of the year in the Bahamas, with 2-3+ months in the U.S. (typically summers) with extensive travel. Typically schedule (about 80% of the year) is Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm with some need for late nights, weekend and/ or overnight coverage. The Nanny’s primary focus will be on the infant, though the flexibility and comfort assisting with the older children when they are out of school is important. Parents usually handle school pick-up/drop off nearby, but may need Nanny to fill in on occasion. Candidates must have strong communication skills, be comfortable with parents sometimes working from home, be experienced caring for multiple children in tandem and demonstrate sound judgment regarding safety etc. The  Nanny should be able to engage the older children in creative activities and read to all children. Responsibilities include: supporting developmental milestones, school readiness, and potty training, planning engaging, educational and age-appropriate activities and outings, managing the children’s daily schedules and routines – including school preparation, drop-offs/pickups, meals, naps, and extracurricular activities, running household and family errands (including grocery shopping,  assisting with meal preparation (ideally the candidate will be a confident family cook), assisting with child-related events such as birthday parties, maintaining awareness of the children’s medical and allergy-related needs and traveling with the family both on vacations and to their upstate home. The family is seeking someone engaging, proactive, and developmentally savvy who ideally holds a college degree in a childcare-related field. Candidates should be strong swimmers, hold a valid passport and be up to date on vaccinations. Classroom experience and a valid driver’s license are preferred, though not required. The family will guarantee a 40-hour workweek, typically Monday through Friday from 11am–7pm, with flexibility.
