Position: Facilities Manager, Full Time, Property Manager

A busy family of six, in Locust Valley, needs to hire an experienced Facilities/Property Manager to join their household team. This role involves overseeing and maintaining all household systems, including water, gas, electrical, HVAC, and AV, as well as coordinating with external vendors and specialists when necessary. Responsibilities also include: maintaining vehicles and equipment, handling minor handyman tasks, managing vendors and contractors, supervising household staff and working closely with the estate/property management team and the family office. The Property Manager will also be responsible for responding to emergencies, including those outside of standard working hours, and maintaining clear, professional communication with the principals. While the role is primarily based at the Long Island residence, occasional travel to the family’s home in Manhattan will be required. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a household with school-age children and pets, and must have a minimum of 3–5 years of experience in luxury residential or commercial property management, or have a strong background in engineering or construction. Candidates should be technologically proficient, highly organized, strong communicators, and self-motivated team players with excellent problem-solving skills. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, though the candidate must be available for communication and emergency call-outs during evenings and weekends as needed. Salary range $140-155K along with a competitive benefits package. This is an immediate start with a preferred start date by October.

Responsibilities include: school drop off and pick up for the children, shuttling them to afternoon activities or appointments often with the nanny in tow, taking the principals to and from the office, helping with errands and appointments during the day, dropping the family off at their secondary home in CT, and additional coverage for special outings like sports events, trips to the theater or airport drop off/ pick up. The family will be relocating full time to their Fairfield County, CT. home early summer 2026 and would love to keep the same Chauffeur on staff, though the scheduling needs and job responsibilities will likely shift- ideally applicants will be within an easy commute to both Manhattan and Connecticut. Chauffeur will be able to switch their out car out for the family’s vehicle at the overnight garage. A background in law enforcement would be a plus, though not required. Schedule is 8am to 6pm from Monday to Friday, with flexibility. Salary range: 100-135K with benefits. Early to mid-September 2025 start with interviews and try outs the last two weeks of August.
