Working parents, on the Upper East Side, need to hire a experienced Nanny/Family Assistant to help care for two school-aged children while managing household logistics and activities. The role is divided into approximately 30% child-related duties and 70% family and household assistance. Responsibilities related to the children include: ensuring their safety, coordinating school pick-ups and drop-offs, and chaperoning them to extracurricular activities and events, manage the children’s social and medical calendars, research and confirm cultural, sporting, and social events, and take a proactive role in homework, liaising with teachers and administrators as needed. Additionally, the Nanny/Family Assistant will be responsible for organizing the children’s rooms, maintaining their clothing and supplies, and shopping for new clothes and accessories as necessary. Family Assistant duties include: managing the family calendar, meal planning and preparation, grocery shopping, ordering supplies, and ensuring the home is well-stocked with food, cleaning materials, and other necessities. There is a full time nanny who will eventually go part time. They have a housekeeping service two times per week. The ideal candidate will be organized, able to identify any household issues, and proactively call service providers to schedule necessary appointments. The standard schedule is 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional travel. While the hours from 2:30 PM to 7:00 PM are dedicated to the children, much of the other work can be done remotely unless the children are off from school. Salary range: $40–$50 per hour, plus health benefits or a medical stipend. Immediate start!
