A Manhattan based couple is seeking a full-time Private Chef to join their staff. The Chef will be responsible for planning menus, shopping, preparing and serving the meals. They will maintain a pristine kitchen and pantry, execute occasional dinner parties (typically no more than 15 guests), and work well with other team members. The cuisine should be healthy, clean, and well-presented. The family eats a variety of cuisines: Italian, Greek, Thai, Indian, Japanese, etc. The Chef will maintain a clean and well-organized kitchen and will be mindful of food waste. The incoming candidate will have an approachable, quiet and professional disposition along with excellent communication skills. The general schedule is lunch and dinner Monday-Friday. Flexibility to work very occasional weekends is a must. The position is entirely based in Manhattan – no travel required! Compensation: $80K – $85K plus health insurance and paid vacation.
