A large, busy, family in the DC suburbs needs to hire a live-in Housekeeper/ Family Assistant to ensure their home is well taken care of and managed and to provide some backup childcare. Responsibilities include:  light housekeeping (no deep cleaning), ensuring the home stays generally tidy & common areas are maintained, caring for the children’s rooms, making beds, family laundry, assisting with childcare in the mornings and some evenings, helping to shuttle children to/ from school or events, errands & grocery shopping, pet care (must love dogs!), some light cooking, and traveling with the family. This person will be working alongside a part-time nanny and part-time housekeeper and needs to work as a strong team member. All applicants must have a valid license, hold a passport, be comfortable in the water, be up-to-date on vaccines, and have 5-10+ years of relevant experience. The typical schedule will be working Monday to Friday from 7am to 1pm, with another guaranteed 5 hours a week during the afternoon (depending on the family’s needs). Offering a private suite/ studio apartment in the home’s lower level. Salary range $30-40/hr. and a health insurance stipend.  Flexible start date.
