A formal household, the Upper East Side, needs to hire a formally trained full time Housekeeper/Laundress. Responsibilities include: meticulous housekeeping – caring for antiques and fragile furnishings, making beds, changing linens on a tri-weekly schedule, maintaining an inventory of personal and household supplies, including day-to-day basics and specialty items and replacing them in a timely manner, general maintenance of wardrobe (clothing, accessories, etc.), and performing seasonal wardrobe changeover, ironing/steaming of garments and household linens, responsible for travel packing needs, including gathering of personal items, folding, and packing of garments, etc., maintaining a clean kitchen and all appliances including stove top, ovens etc., shopping and household errands and greeting guests appropriately. All candidates must be comfortable working in a staffed home and with wearing a uniform (provided). Schedule is: Monday – Friday 9am -pm – with flexibility required. Salary range: $45-$50 an hour. Immediate start.
