Seeking a smart, all-round, roll-the-sleeves up Temporary Family/Household Assistant for a Manhattan based family with school-aged children.  The incoming candidate will catch it all whether running errands, caring for the family dog, daily laundry/ironing, packing/unpacking, overseeing a vendor, ordering supplies, preparing very simple meals, and assisting with other projects as they arise.  The children are independent so there is no childcare but this person might prepare a snack, provide general adult supervision, pick-up a sick child from school, etc.  The schedule is typically Monday – Friday 10AM – 6PM with flexibility.  This position is based in Manhattan with travel to the Hamptons approximately 2 months during the summer where live-in accommodations are provided and the schedule involves extended periods of work followed by extended periods of time off.   Driving is a big plus. Compensation: $1500-$1800/week, DOE.  Again, please note this is a Temporary position with the possibility but no promise for the role to become permanent.
