A family of four, in East Hampton, needs to hire a 5-day live in or local live out Spanish speaking Nanny to help care for their newborn and assist a hands-on stay at home Parent. A Baby is due in January and the first 6-8 weeks will be helping with overnights then transition to a regular Monday to Friday, daytime schedule. There is also a toddler in the home, who has their own full-time nanny and care is not expected. Responsibilities include: bottle feeding, diapering, helping to track milestones, preparing healthy meals, diaper & toilet training, as well preparing for other developmental steps when the time arises, assisting with the children’s laundry and any household upkeep. The Nanny must be comfortable around water, CPR certified (or willing to get), and be up to date on vaccines. Drivers are a plus but not required. Teaching experience is a plus, as is familiarity with Montessori methods. For live in applicants, separate accommodations are offered. September through May. Unless the nanny has a car, the family can shuttle to/from the East Hampton train station. Must be ok working in a home with pets. Typical schedule would be a guaranteed 40 hours Monday to Friday with some flexibility. Salary $30-35/hr. January start.
