professional, busy couple in Litchfield County, CT is seeking to hire a House Manager for their historical residence and guest house. The House Manager will be responsible for: staff and vendor management, household inventory, purchasing supplies and groceries, mail and package management, tracking household budgets/expenses/petty cash, managing household calendars, and overseeing day-to-day operations. They will also develop, implement, and update a household manual. The residence has a small, closely-knit staff who work together as a team. While the vast majority of the role is household management, there are some Personal Assistant duties, online research, special projects, and light hands-on duties as needed (such as tidying up common areas, cleaning up a spill, running out the garbage, etc.). The incoming House Manager will perform duties with a high degree of integrity, discretion, mutual respect, professionalism, and positivity. The schedule is typically Monday – Friday 9AM – 5PM with some flexibility for later evenings and weekends as needed. Salary: $90K – $100K plus health insurance, 401K, and paid time off.
