Working parents in North Tribeca/ West Soho seek a dedicated, career Nanny & Educator to care for their infant in a long-term partnership. Responsibilities encompass all facets of high-standard nursery stewardship and developmental execution: maintaining clock-bound feeding and sleep foundations, executing structured daily language immersion (phonemic modeling, expressive reading, classical recitation, and traditional poetry), and managing nursery hygiene (sterilizing equipment, maintaining play and sleep areas, and handling child laundry). The educator will take professional ownership of designing and leading an intentional, adult-directed daily curriculum that builds early classical literacy, structured habit formation, emotional regulation, discipline and independent preschool readiness as the child grows. Outings throughout the city should be intentional, purposeful, and structured around the daily schedule. The role includes accompanying the family on domestic and international travel a few times per year, including dedicated weeks during the summer. The ideal candidate is an emotionally mature, self-directed, career professional with a genuine love of children and has at least 10 years of private in-home experience, demonstrating proven multi-year tenure with NYC families from infancy through preschool and beyond. Candidates must bring their own professional developmental toolkit while thriving in a structured, classical learning framework rather than a purely child-led or unstructured model. High operational autonomy is required to run the nursery rhythm seamlessly, paired with concise, transparent communication with the parents. Both parents work primarily out of the home, working remotely approximately one day per week from dedicated office spaces; candidates must be completely comfortable managing the nursery independently day-to-day.
Schedule is Monday through Friday from 8am to 6pm (50 guaranteed hours). Salary range: $38-43 with an OMNY card and possibly health insurance contribution. This is an early January 2027 start, ideally with some overlap with the family’s NCS, but the parents are interviewing and trialing applicants ASAP.
