A busy family of five, on the Upper West Side, needs to hire a warm, energetic, and adaptable Housekeeper/ Cook. Primary responsibilities include: maintaining the family’s home through deep cleaning and daily upkeep, family laundry, maintaining overall household organization, as well as organization for storage spaces (closets, drawers, pantry, fridge, etc.), packing/ unpacking for travel, household errands & shopping (including on-line ordering), overseeing deliveries, assisting with pet care for the family’s dog, and tag-teaming with parents and additional staff on simple cooking (especially for the children). This is not primarily a childcare role, though occasional backup coverage is needed for sick days, days off from school, or overnight when parents travel. The general schedule is Monday through Friday, 11am to 7pm, for a guaranteed 40-hour workweek. Flexibility is required for occasional weekend coverage, overnight care when the parents travel, and accompanying the family on occasional trips. Salary range: $30-45/hr. DOE, plus a contribution toward health insurance. Immediate start.
