A family of four, on the Upper East Side, needs to hire a full-time, live-out Nanny to care for their infant and toddler. Responsibilities include: providing attentive, safety-focused care, engaging the children in active, screen-free play, reading regularly, encouraging confidence and independence through positive guidance, and transporting them to classes and playdates throughout the Upper East Side. The toddler will be attending preschool in the fall, so the Nanny will assist with pick-up and drop off. Additional duties would ideally include: preparing healthy meals for the family, making children’s lunches, grocery shopping, keeping fresh fruit and vegetables stocked, organizing the refrigerator, managing the children’s laundry, tidying play areas and children’s spaces, cleaning up after meals and activities, and making the parents’ bed on days the housekeeper is not present. The ideal Nanny is a positive, energetic, proactive self-starter who takes initiative, anticipates the family’s needs, and is always eager to jump in and help without needing to be asked. The Nanny should communicate regularly with the parents through texts and photos, work collaboratively with other household staff, and have prior infant and toddler experience and are comfortable caring for both at the same time. All candidates must be able to travel domestically and internationally if needed. The schedule is Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM–5:30 PM and one day per week such as Wednesdays from 7:00 AM–6:30 PM, with occasional flexibility to stay an additional hour on weekdays. Salary range: $35-40/hr. DOE. Immediate start.
