A family of five, in Ridgefield, CT, is looking to hire an experienced full-time Executive Housekeeper to join their established household team. Primary responsibilities include: deep cleaning and daily maintenance of the main residence and weekly upkeep of two additional buildings on the property. The Executive Housekeeper will be responsible for the proper care and treatment of all household surfaces including wood, glass, and stone. Additional duties include: maintaining inventories throughout the home, family laundry, ironing, the care of fine linens and formal dinner setting. The home is multi-level with a significant number of stairs, so candidates must be comfortable working in a physically active environment. This role requires someone who thrives in a collaborative team environment, as the Executive Housekeeper will work closely with (and help oversee) another housekeeper on staff. The ideal candidate will be a senior-level professional with extensive experience in formal, fully staffed homes with a meticulous eye for detail. The typical schedule is 8am to 4pm and the family would ideally like this person to provide weekend coverage or participate in a rotating weekend schedule (typically consisting of shorter days) with the other housekeeper. However, for an exceptional candidate, they are happy to accommodate only occasional weekend availability and hire additional part-time support as needed. Salary range: $45-50/hr. with a guaranteed 40-hour workweek regardless of seasonal schedule fluctuations. Excellent benefits are provided.
