A family of five, with homes in Chelsea and on Long Island,, needs to hire an experienced, highly organized Family Assistant/ Nanny to support the smooth day-to-day operation of their home and assist with the afternoon care of their three school-aged children. Responsibilities include: collaborating with family’s other staff (including a full time nanny) to assist with after-school childcare (school pickups, helping with homework/ projects, and transporting to afternoon activities), communicating with schools, teachers, tutors, managing family calendars and scheduling, coordinating medical appointments, assisting with travel planning and logistics, running errands and grocery shopping, receiving packages and handling returns, maintaining organization throughout the home, helping keep the household structured and running efficiently, light meal preparation support as needed, and providing general family and household administrative assistance. The family employs a housekeeper, so the role is not focused on heavy housekeeping, but a team-player mentality and willingness to pitch in where needed is essential. The family is seeking a polished, proactive candidate who can balance childcare responsibilities with strong executive-function and household administrative support. The family’s an additional home in Brookville, NY, is where they spend school holidays so beginning next summer, the role may require several overnight stays there during the week. Typical schedule is Monday through Friday from approximately 12– 7 PM, guaranteeing roughly 35 hours per week, with flexibility for occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
