A formal family, with homes in Manhattan and Southampton, needs to hire an experienced Housekeeper/House Manager to oversee the seamless operation of the residence in Southampton. During off season, responsibilities include: detailed housekeeping and maintaining the property, overseeing vendors/repairs, scheduling landscaping and outdoor maintenance, preparing the home for occasional visits for the principals and guests as needed, communicating any necessary updates to the family office, maintaining inventory etc. During peak season: hosting and serving duties, walking and caring for family dogs as needed, errands, grocery shopping, assisting chef, detailed laundry and closet organization, tracking dry cleaning, collaborating with principal and assistant to maintain calendar, oversee additional staff members both in and out of the home, maintaining household inventory, tracking spending and invoices, special projects and consistently anticipate the evolving needs of the family with discretion and grace. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, high-standard environment and takes pride in creating polished, detail-driven experiences for principals and guests. The schedule is close to a standard 40 hours/week during the winter season but heavier during the spring and summer season, requiring flexibility. Salary range: $50-55/hr. plus benefits.
