A couple, in SoHo, needs to hire an experienced and detail-oriented Part-Time Housekeeper (possible Housekeeper/ Cook). Primary responsibilities include: regular deep cleaning of the residence, including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, sanitizing bathrooms and kitchen areas, general home organization, laundry and ironing, including proper care of delicate garments and fine fabrics that require special handling, and light pet care. When time allows, household errands and grocery shopping would be useful and, in a perfect world, they would love to hire someone who can assist with light meal prep and occasional simple cooking. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable about the care of specialty materials and surfaces, including rugs, stone, wood and other finishes, with an understanding of which products and tools are appropriate for each surface. The schedule is ideally two days per week, Mondays and Wednesdays, from 9am to 5pm with a possible third day for someone who is able to assist with cooking, though there is some flexibility for the right candidate. Salary $40/hr. Immediate start!
