A Manhattan family of four is seeking a dependable, organized, and experienced Full-Time Housekeeper/Cook & Childcare Assistant to help care for their home and keep their household running smoothly. The family has two elementary-aged children, though this position is primarily focused on housekeeping and cooking, with only very light childcare assistance required. Responsibilities will include deep and general cleaning throughout the home, daily tidying and organization of common spaces, maintaining household appliances, family laundry, running household errands, keeping household supplies stocked and organized, providing very light pet care for the family’s friendly cat, and preparing simple, healthy family meals, typically having dinners ready for the children to eat after school that the parents can easily reheat. Childcare responsibilities will be minimal and will primarily consist of picking up the younger child from school or the bus stop and transporting them to afternoon activities, with occasional evening babysitting requested with advance notice. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm, with occasional flexibility for a weeknight evening of babysitting as needed. Salary $45–50/hr plus OMNY card and health insurance contribution.
