A family of five in Midtown Manhattan, consisting of 4 adults and a child, seeks to hire a full-time, live-in or live-out Housekeeper/Cook to support the smooth running of their home. Responsibilities include detailed housekeeping and daily maintenance, household organizing, laundry and ironing, grocery shopping, and maintaining kitchen organization and inventory. A strong emphasis is placed on cooking. The candidate must be able to independently prepare a variety of Chinese meals on a daily basis, including home-style dishes such as stir-fries, soups, making dumplings and balanced meals. The candidate should have prior experience working in private households, preferably in high-end homes, and demonstrate strong cooking and organizational skills. Experience working in households with children and/or able to speak Chinese is a plus. Live-in accommodations are provided. The schedule is typically Monday through Friday, 11:00am–7:00pm or 12:00pm–8:00pm, depending on the family’s needs. Salary range: $85-100K plus benefits. July start.
