A family of four, with homes in Union Square and Southampton, needs to hire a new Housekeeper/Cook. This is replacing a much-adored housekeeper who was with the family for nearly 12 years before retiring. Responsibilities include: general housekeeping and handling daily organization & upkeep, family laundry, ironing (including care for linens & fine clothing), pet care for two small dogs, preparing light & simple family meals, running errands, and traveling with family to their Hamptons residence in the summer (ideally at least 2-3 nights/ week). While there is no childcare necessary, there are two teens in the home so flexibility to spend an occasional night and someone who can look out for them in the afternoons is required. The ideal applicant will have prior experience with a mangler but all applicants must know how to properly iron a shirt. The family can offer 5 day live in accommodations, a private bed and bath, but are very open to seeing live out or live in applicants. Schedule is Monday through Friday from 12 to 7/8pm. Salary $35-45/hr. plus health insurance. Flexible start date.
