A family of four, in Greenwich, CT, needs to hire an experienced and detail-oriented Full-Time Housekeeper. Responsibilities include: general and deep cleaning, maintaining beautifully organized and tidy spaces, family laundry and ironing, household organization, keeping household supplies appropriately stocked, assisting with occasional household errands such as grocery shopping and dry-cleaning drop-off/pick-up, and working closely and collaboratively with other household staff to ensure the residence is consistently maintained to a high standard. The Housekeeper should also be comfortable assisting with the light upkeep of outdoor living areas, such as patios and porches, keeping them swept, clean, tidy, and presentable during the warmer months. Light family meal prep is a nice plus. The family is specifically seeking someone with prior experience maintaining larger homes (vs. apartments) and an understanding of the level of detail, consistency, organization, and initiative required. Both principals work full-time, and there are two elementary-aged children in the home, so someone comfortable working around an active family household and coordinating seamlessly with other staff is essential. The ideal candidate will be a true career Housekeeper who is highly detail-oriented, proactive, organized, discreet, and able to work independently; someone who takes pride in maintaining an immaculate, well-run home, naturally anticipates household needs, and can learn the family’s routines and preferences to become a trusted, consistent part of the household for years to come. Candidates should ideally live within an easy commuting distance of Greenwich, have their own reliable transportation, and must possess a valid driver’s license. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:30am–5:30pm. Salary range: $40-50/hour plus a contribution toward health insurance. The family is ready to hire as soon as they find the right fit.
