A family of five, in Brooklyn, needs to hire a polished Nanny/Cook/Family Assistant to help care for their two older children (early elementary age) and support the overall day-to-day operations of the household. Responsibilities  include: school pick-up for the older children, driving them to activities as needed, preparing snacks, and helping keep their afternoon routine organized and running smoothly, preparing simple, fresh, balanced family meals, following recipes, and taking initiative with menu ideas based on the family’s preferences, handling grocery shopping and household errands, maintaining household supplies and organization, including closets and pantries, receiving deliveries and providing light household management support, including coordinating with vendors and helping oversee the family’s housekeeper. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and be comfortable driving the family’s vehicle for local school pick-ups and activities. The family also has a younger child who is primarily cared for by their longtime nanny, as well as a housekeeper, so housekeeping is not part of this role. The ideal person is sophisticated, highly organized, proactive, have experience working with young children,  and comfortable working collaboratively in a staffed home. The general schedule is Monday through Friday, 12pm–7pm. Salary $35-45/hr. Immediate start.
