A formal home, in Southampton, needs to hire an experienced Houseman who can work as a team with their Housekeepers, Chef and House manager and other staff. Responsibilities include: vendor management, maintaining vehicles and household systems and assisting with meticulous, museum quality cleaning/upkeep and maintenance. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience caring for delicate surfaces, fine furnishings, expensive linens and high-end wardrobe. Additional duties include: window cleaning, outdoor work like pool area, furniture, tennis courts, balconies, and setting up and breaking down beach chairs and umbrellas, etc.
Must work harmoniously with other staff and take and follow directions well. Excellent English is a must. The schedule is flexible during the summer when the family is in residence six days per week 60-70 hours per week. When the family is not in residence the hours are Monday-Friday from 9-5. Salary: $40-$50/hour base and benefits. Immediate start.
