A family of four, in SoHo (moving to the Upper East Side), needs to hire a full-time, French-speaking Nanny to care for their two young children. Responsibilities include: assisting with morning routines and tag-teaming with the parents on school drop-off and pick-up for the older child, accompanying the younger child to daytime classes and playdates, engaging both children in fun, developmentally appropriate, and educational activities, planning and accompanying the children on outings, monitoring and supporting developmental milestones, managing all child-related laundry and light housekeeping, preparing healthy snacks and meals for the children and traveling with the family as needed (typically one to two times per year). The role also requires living in with the family for approximately six weeks during the summer. The children are being raised bilingual in English and French, making it essential that the Nanny to actively support and reinforce language development. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of professional childcare experience, hold a valid passport, be comfortable in and around water and be at ease working in a home where parents are in and out throughout the day. A valid driver’s license is preferred but not required. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 8am to 6pm. Salary is $40/hr. base plus a health insurance contribution. Immediate start.
