A family of four, in Menlo Park, CA, needs to hire Chef Family Assistant to join their experienced household staff. This role combines culinary support with household management, including maintaining the kitchen and pantry, cleaning, organizing, stocking, shopping, and collaborating with the Mrs. on meal planning—sometimes exploring new recipes based on the family’s preferences. Responsibilities include: preparing simple lunches as well as meals for the children and household staff, with dinners typically served early and featuring Asian and Indian cuisines. In addition, the Family Assistant oversees vendors and service providers, manages vehicle maintenance and cleaning, handles trash and recycling, organizes mail, packages and returns and supports other household needs as they arise. The schedule is usually from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with flexibility for occasional late evenings and travel with the family. Salary range: $140,000 to $160,000, with health insurance.
