A family of four, on the Upper East Side, needs to hire a Nanny/Educator/Family Assistant to primarily support and guide the educational development of their school-aged child. Responsibilities include: assisting the family in the morning with making sure the kids have breakfast, bags are packed and they get to school, school pick-up and planning and escorting the child to various after-school activities in the afternoon, which may include cultural, social, and sports-related outings, caring for his room and belongings. Experience with dyslexia is a significant plus.
The Nanny/Educator will be expected to help organize the family’s calendar, create engaging educational activities that complement the school’s curriculum, as well as plan, prepare, and serve dinner. Your weekly schedule and guaranteed hours will be Monday through Friday, predominantly between the hours of 6:30-8:30am and 1:30-7:30pm, with flexibility Is required for sick days and school holidays. During part of the summer, the role transitions to the family’s summer home, where live-in accommodations are provided. A love for dogs is a must! Salary range: $45-$55 per hour + health insurance.
