Working parents, on the Upper East Side, need to hire an experienced full-time, live-out Nanny to help care for their infant and support them as new parents. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in all aspects of infant care, including feeding, burping, changing, and establishing healthy nap routines. Responsibilities also include: maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the nursery, laundering the baby’s clothing and regularly cleaning baby-related equipment such as bottles, breast pumps, and bibs. Light errands—such as grocery shopping, pharmacy runs, and trips to the post office—are also part of the role.
The nanny should have experience introducing solids when developmentally appropriate and feel comfortable taking the baby to enrichment classes and age-appropriate cultural or educational outings. Due to the family’s travel schedule and extended visits from relatives, there will be approximately 6–8 weeks throughout the year when the nanny will not be needed and will not be paid; however, vacation may be taken during this time. Schedule is Monday–Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with occasional flexibility to stay later. Salary range: $40–$45 per hour. Immediate start!
