A formal home, on the Upper East Side, needs to hire a highly experienced, and hands-on Houseman to join their team. Responsibilities include: assisting the housekeepers with detailed housekeeping & care for fine household items, daily organization, light maintenance, running household errands, maintaining household inventory, receiving deliveries, welcoming guests, overseeing vendors in the home, formal table setting & décor, table service & entertaining, clearing dishes & kitchen clean up, pitching in with some pet care for two small dogs, packing & unpacking for the principals, traveling with the family (domestically & internationally), and any special projects that may arise. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday from 1 to 9/10pm with flexibility for earlier coverage when needed. During the summer, the Houseman will be expected to work Thursday through Monday, and assist at the family’s country home in Sagaponack, as well as travel to the family’s residence in the Caribbean. This is a fully staffed home and all members must know how to work cohesively. Salary range: 90-130K plus excellent benefits. April start.
