A creative family working in theater and photography, with offices in Chelsea and the Flatiron District and a home in Greenwich Village, needs to hire a full-time Personal/Executive Assistant & Chief of Staff. As their professional and personal lives are deeply intertwined, this role provides comprehensive support across both areas. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing a wide range of responsibilities in a dynamic and creative environment. Key responsibilities include: heavy calendar management and scheduling for three adults, booking travel and transportation, handling correspondence, conducting research, paying bills, and providing general administrative support. The role also involves running errands, occasional pet care, maintaining household supplies and inventories and ensuring both residences and offices remain fully operational. The Assistant will oversee household staff and coordinate vendors and service providers in collaboration with the property manager. Additionally, the role includes planning and executing private events and professional gatherings, supporting creative and production-related projects, and managing philanthropic activities, including charitable contributions and related communications. This is primarily an in-person position, with responsibilities split between the family’s home and offices. Some tasks may be performed remotely when appropriate. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and multitasking skills, be tech-savvy, and demonstrate strong organizational and management abilities. A high level of discretion and confidentiality is essential. A bachelor’s degree is highly preferred, along with 3–5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within the arts. Experience managing philanthropic matters is a plus. Schedule is Monday through Friday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility. The salary range is $150,000–$200,000, depending on experience. Medical benefits are offered, with 80% of premiums covered by the employer. Immediate start.
