An UES based family with children is seeking an experienced, team-spirited, and upbeat Private Chef. The family prefers healthy, seasonal cuisines with lots of variety and different tastes from around the world. Experience cooking for young children, the ability to prepare high-level dinner parties as needed, and a true service-heart are musts. Duties are all culinary and service related: menu planning, provisioning, meal execution, meticulous kitchen cleanliness & maintenance, food/pantry/beverage inventory and stocking, and table setting and service as needed. The schedule is typically Monday – Friday lunch and dinner with flexibility to work weekends when entertaining and traveling. The Chef will travel to the Hamptons during summer months where days off will be during the week (i.e. must work regular weekends). There is approximately 4 weeks of paid time off during the year. Must drive, must have verifiable references, and must be seeking a long-term commitment. Qualified candidates will have a min. of 5 years of similar experience working full-time for a private families. Compensation: $135K – $150K DOE, plus a medical stipend.
