From a young age, JT has surrounded herself with children. She was always the neighborhood babysitter for families in the community. When she attended college in Boston she worked per diem for Boston families in need of her assistance with childcare, all while attending classes at Berklee College of Music. Her passion for children has led her to her current path of attending online classes for Child Psychology. She enjoys using her education plus her childcare skills in a private home setting and enjoys working as a private nanny for families.
Candidate JT has experience caring for children ages newborn through fifteen years. She has extensive knowledge of child development and milestones, is certified in Infant/Child CPR and First Aid, and has experience working with children with special needs. Previous families have described her as a caring, engaging, responsible, patient, creative, organized, and adaptable. She is skilled at creating activities and games that are both fun and educational, and she incorporates music, art, and imaginative play into the children’s day. She is skilled at establishing routines and setting rules and boundaries in a caring manner. She always creates a safe, warm and comfortable environment in which children can learn, develop and express themselves.
JT has worked with small boutique agencies in the past who have connected her with various families in need of her assistance. Most recently she worked as a full-time Nanny from 2018 through March 2020. Unfortunately with the pandemic, this position transitioned from full-time to part-time. She was able to find another family in need of her assistance part-time. While she loves working for both families part-time, she would like to find one family in need of her assistance full-time. While the families are sad to see her go, they support her and have stated “any family will be lucky to have her as their nanny”.
She is seeking a full-time live-out nanny position, she offers full flexibility with her schedule, is a strong swimmer, tech-savvy, a good cook, and is comfortable working in a home with pets. She excels with tutoring, homework help, and teaching children social skills. She also loves to bring music into the home and can teach guitar, drums and help with piano lessons. She is Covid vaccinated.
