Candidate: PAV15165SS

Job Position: Nanny
Location: Live-in, Live-out, Manhattan, New York

Candidate M has always had a passion to care for children. She started volunteering for her church nursery weekly and actively overseeing children of all ages for Vacation Bible School every summer. Eventually she started working as a nanny for families in the community on a regular basis. While attending school she continued nannying and became familiar with children of all different age groups and different parenting styles. Candidate M was always able to balance this work with school, competitive swimming, playing soccer, obtaining her first responders license, and working every summer as a lifeguard/camp counselor. Candidate M translates sports and outdoor activities into caring for children and being able to share the things she is passionate about.

She worked as a full-time nanny for three school age children with parents that worked rotationally at a hospital. This taught her how much she enjoyed long hours with children, and being able to take care of the day-to-day routine so that the time their parents had with them they were able to enjoy without having the more tedious tasks to worry about. During the summer she would work all day with the children, organizing activities, swimming, playing sports, and managing educational tasks given by their school.

In 2018, she decided to make nannying her career and she moved to Brooklyn as a live-in nanny for a high-profile family with two boys aged 1 and 4. She spent the last two and a half years with them and have solidified her decision to become a career nanny. She has gained extensive experience working long hours and overnights, making healthy meals, creating a safe and loving environment, managing schedules, and helping educate. Candidate M also learned how to balance childcare with running the household: doing laundry, light cleaning, grocery shopping, posting mail, and other tasks. When traveling she would accompany and find culturally educational experiences for them to learn, as well as teaching them basics of different foreign languages. While working as a team with the parents, she potty trained, took care of basic illnesses (flu, croup, stomach bugs), and homeschooled from the start of COVID-19 until the present.

Her current family is moving out of state and she will be available for hire for an immediate start. Candidate M offers complete flexibility with her schedule, she can live in when needed, travel, drive, swim, tutor and care for multiple children at a time.
