Position: Full Time, Housemanager
Location: Connecticut, Live-out

Seeking a Hands-on House Manager who will participate in the upkeep of a large estate as well as assist with household management.  The position involves approximately 50% management and 50% domestic tasks (e.g. housekeeping).  The House Manager will take direction from, and will report directly to, the Property Manager.  Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Support the Property Manager (PM) with daily operations as directed
  • Maintain household inventories and supplies
  • Daily walk-throughs to check temperatures, lightbulbs, etc. to ensure everything is in working order (report issues to the PM)
  • Supervise vendors as needed
  • Organizational projects (e.g. moving, rearranging, cleaning out, storing, etc.)
  • Perform both deep and general cleaning
  • Laundry, ironing, and dry-cleaning management
  • Manage and log packages and mail
  • Provide and manage pet care
  • Run errands (must have a safe driving record)
  • Assist with ad hoc duties as needed

A “no task too big or too small” mentality is required for success in this role.  The schedule is typically Monday – Friday 9:00AM – 5:00PM/6:00PM though flexibility to work additional hours, weekends, and occasional holidays is a must. Polite, low-key, pitch-in, and egoless professionals with excellent references need only apply.  Compensation: $80K – $90K base plus benefits.
