She is a former kindergarten/first grade/reading teacher who transitioned from classroom teaching to be a career nanny four years ago, to offer her skills and positivity to children on a new and focused level. As a nanny, she can personalize days around children’s specific interests and needs in ways beyond the limits of classroom time and class size. She’s hands-on, creative, and absolutely loves making every day joyful with projects and games and unique, fun ideas. She cherishes the care of all ages but especially loves the early years with babies and toddlers.
Candidate SM worked as a nanny full-time, for two years for a family with three children at the start. She supported day-to-day driving from school to activities, planned fun outings, helped with homework, cooked healthy dinners, gave them baths every night, tucked them into bed, and most importantly, supported them in their relationships with each other and their social-emotional growth. She had planned to stay with them for years, but a job change relocated them to California.
Her most recent full-time nanny position was with a family of four where she made healthy meals and snacks, took the kids to classes, libraries, nature centers, etc., promoted language development and letter and number awareness in a fun and silly ways, sang and read with the children throughout our days, and established nap and bedtime routines in comforting and positive ways. Unfortunately, the position came to an end as the Mom became a stay-at-home mom and no longer needed her assistance. SM recently connected with Pavillion to find a family in need of her dynamic services. She is seeking a full-time live-out nanny position and can work 40 – 50 hours per week. She is Covid/flu/Tdap vaccinated, swims, drives, is CPR certified, and can travel light through the year.
