IP is a highly qualified and dedicated professional with a strong background in education and childcare (ages newborn – 15 years). Holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Education (with a specialty in English, Language Arts, and Reading), IP is a strong advocate for developing literacy from the earliest (infant) years. With training in Child Psychology, Integrative STEM Education, and Creative Arts, IP brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the role as a nanny or Governess. With more than a decade of combined experience in professional childcare and teaching, IP has honed skills in a diverse array of settings. Teaching dance for over 15 years, coaching Jr. Olympic gymnastics, instructing creative arts and musical theatre, being a classroom teacher in public, private, and online school settings, fostering newborns and infants, and serving as a “Mary Poppins” style nanny for many children all contribute to IP’s expertise. Passionate about social-emotional learning, IP creates environments that foster not only academic success but also overall well-being. Viewing children as holistic individuals shapes IP’s interactions, passionately equipping them with skills for emotional navigation and expression in healthy ways. IP creates space for children to develop their unique personalities, explore strengths, and cultivate a passion for lifelong learning.
From preparing nutritious (and delicious) meals to implementing calming bedtime routines, IP loves instilling healthy habits that benefit children for years. IP’s warm, creative, patient personality combined with a diverse array of experiences will undoubtedly be an asset to a future family. Whether guiding a newborn to sleep through the night, helping a toddler choose kind words to resolve conflict, or encouraging a ten-year-old to look forward to homework time, IP finds nothing more rewarding than witnessing the growth in the children. Seeking a full-time live-in or Rota position (preferably on the east coast), IP works well autonomously but also synergizes beautifully with other staff and hands-on parents.
