Position: Nanny
Location:
This is an experienced nanny, interested in being a part of the support system for your family. Her extensive experiences will benefit your children with a thriving home environment that nurtures them to become their best selves.
She has been a nanny for over eight years. She has a degree in Elementary Education, but soon realized that she best served children through one-on-one education and learning experiences, rather than in a large classroom setting, and therefore started working as a nanny shortly after graduating. She worked as a nanny for four years in North Carolina before attending the Northwest Nannies Institute (NNI). NNI provided her an in-depth training on a wide variety of topics. She took classes ranging from child development; safety; behaviors; etiquette; communication; activities; health and nutrition. She learned how to deal with issues that can occur with children anywhere from birth to teenage years, and in addition to the classroom time, she had the opportunity to practice her skills with families. She also completed a Newborn Care Specialist training. Furthermore, she finds it extremely valuable to continue her education through online and in-person training courses and certifications whenever possible. She personally values patience, honesty, responsibility, hard work, reliability, and creativity.
She traveled extensively with her previous family and had wonderful times experiencing new places with her charge. They were able to explore different libraries, parks, museums, and nature areas. She enjoys live music, traveling, exercising, healthy eating, movies, and reading. She also appreciates different forms of the arts; musicals, dance, photography, pottery, etc. She incorporates these things into her work to make time with her charges more fun and interesting. Her and her charges go to musicals and act out their own plays, explore new cities to see how things differ from what they know, wander through museums and go home to create art projects, and blow up volcanoes to learn about science. Together they create crazy new games, read books for hours on end, and learn from every single experience they have; good or bad. They have playdates with friends to build social experiences, snuggle when they’re having a rough day, work on homework together, and especially make crazy faces at each other just to make each other laugh.
She holds outstanding references and is highly regarded by all the families she has worked with. She is seeking a full-time live-in or live-out position and is available to start as soon as possible.
