A couple, in midtown Manhattan, needs to hire an experienced Executive Housekeeper to manage their primary residence, as well as assist with additional properties and travel with them when needed. Responsibilities will include: museum-level housekeeping of fine furnishings, art, rugs, and drapery, professional-level laundry skills (with knowledge of couture clothing), steaming, care of fine linens, closet organization & rotating seasonal clothes, excellent family-style cooking (typically 2-6 people at a time), supervision of vendors & repair personnel, liaising with building staff, inventory control & household shopping, careful packing & unpacking for family travels, and pet care for two small dogs. All applicants must have a valid driver’s license, be able to take direction when needed but otherwise know how to take initiative & work independently, have strong communication skills (including text & email), and should be active enough to travel up and down stairs with ease.
Additional residences include a home on Long Island and a home in Connecticut, where the housekeeper will regularly spend time and coordinate with other staff on site. There is an additional residence in Florida, where the housekeeper may need to go occasionally. The typical schedule will be Monday through Friday from 7:45am – 4:30pm with flexibility.
