A family of three, on the Upper East Side, needs to hire a Full-Time, Live-out Nanny/Housekeeper. Responsibilities include: assisting with the care for an infant, feeding, dressing and bathing the child, performing light housekeeping duties such as loading/unloading the dishwasher, tidying up the child’s room and doing their laundry, wiping down surfaces, and organizing closets. Candidates who can prepare light, simple meals are highly preferred. The ideal applicant will be a team player, and pet-friendly. The Nanny/Housekeeper must work well alongside hands-on parents who are mostly home and flexible to pitch-in where needed.  The family spends their time in Florida from November – February, and candidates that can join them are highly preferred. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with late morning and early afternoon hours dedicated to household management tasks such as laundry and ironing, closet organization, maintaining common areas to a high standard, grocery shopping and household errands, proactive restocking of supplies, meal planning and preparation, and coordination with household vendors and deliveries. Afternoon and evening responsibilities include timely school pickups, supervising homework, managing the after-school transition, transporting the children to extracurricular activities on certain days, assisting with bath time and evening routines, and preparing dinner with the goal of having dinner on the table by 7:00 PM.  The ability to confidently manage a time-sensitive afternoon schedule is a must.  Additional responsibilities include occasional later evenings with advance notice, full-day coverage during the principal’s travel, and quarterly overnight coverage of approximately three consecutive nights about four times per year. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of verifiable experience in a combined nanny/household management role, demonstrate strong organizational and childcare skills, maintain a calm and reliable presence in the home, communicate effectively, and work proactively and independently. The family provides separate private housing, as well as a car, with lovely additional benefits such as a round-trip ticket home, insurance contribution and generous PTO and sick days. The family is planning to spend the majority of the year in the Bahamas, with 2-3+ months in the U.S. (typically summers) with extensive travel. Typically schedule (about 80% of the year) is Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm with some need for late nights, weekend and/ or overnight coverage. Salary range: $40-45/hr. base, plus overtime and double time. Family would like to have someone start at the beginning of May.
