Kate Nye
Placement Specialist
Kate joined the Pavillion Agency team in 2018, after a recent move back to New York and working as a personal assistant to a Forbes 400 family member. She received her Master’s in Elementary Education and subsequently taught at risk and special needs children in Colorado. Having been an educator has helped Kate to have a greater appreciation for the emotional needs of young children, which she believes will only benefit her in this role, as she understands how a child’s home-life experience shapes them.
Kate grew up in Manhattan and Colorado and has remained in close contact with many of her own nannies over the years, most of whom were placed through Pavillion Agency. She sees this position as a return to a place that has given her a lot over the years. Kate very much understands the need for good childcare and facilitating the creation of long-term, successful, relationships between nannies and families.
In addition to her Master’s, Kate also holds a BA in English and Film Studies from The Colorado College. She spent most of her childhood growing up in Colorado and is an avid skier. She has also spent time in Florida and Texas. Kate lives with her dog, Charlie and enjoys being with her family and friends, cooking, the outdoors, loves a good adventure and tries to experience as much as she can in this big city she has known all her life.
