A working couple with grown children needs to hire an experienced full-time House Manager/Personal Assist to support their two residences and lifestyle. Core responsibilities include, but are not limited to: staff and vendor management, private event coordination, household inventory, household purchasing, ensuring high service standards, preparing homes for family and guests, and providing personal assistance to the lady of the house. The primary residence is located in Brooklyn and their summer home is located in New Jersey. Summers are busy when in NJ with lots of entertaining. As such, the House Manager/Personal Assistant must have a willingness to help set-up umbrellas, grab extra towels, or do whatever necessary to assist with flawless service. Note: the House Manager/Personal Assistant will be required to either commute to or live-in during the summer months while the family is in NJ. This is otherwise a live-out role.
Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 3-5 years working in a similar environment, an even and flexible disposition, the ability to travel between residences, a valid driver’s license, and sterling references. This is not a corporate or highly formal environment though a degree of polish (whether smart-casual, hip-professional, business-casual, etc.) is essential as this person will be the owner’s representative and face of the residence.
