An active family with school-age children needs to hire a Full-time Live-out House Manager to join their household and become a member of the team. Qualified candidates will oversee multiple properties, a medium-sized staff, and a busy calendar for the family. Additional responsibilities include: sourcing and hiring vendors, ensuring overall upkeep and maintenance of the property, provisioning household supplies, running household errands, reconciling expense reports, and assisting with event planning as necessary. Because the family has two school-age children, individuals may be asked to step in and provide occasional childcare assistance, i.e., driving to and from extracurricular activities or appointments.
Qualified candidates will possess a minimum of five years’ experience working as a House Manager, verifiable long-term references, and a clean and valid driver’s license. Individuals must possess excellent organizational and communication skills to ensure the day-to-day schedule runs smoothly, as well as the ability to anticipate and resolve potential problems. S/he must be meticulous with a superior attention to detail, a proactive, self-starter attitude, and child-friendly. The general schedule is Monday through Friday, averaging 50 hours a week, but the flexibility to work weekends and holidays is required. The House Manager will be expected to spend the month of August in the Hamptons with the family.
