An active family is seeking a Temporary Full-Time Chef for a month beginning at the end of July and ending on September 1st. The Chef will be responsible for menu planning, provisioning, and daily lunch and dinner execution and prep a breakfast for two adults, two young children, a small staff, and frequent family guests (the Chef will generally be cooking for 7-12 people). While the Chef will be expected to serve when it is just the family, they will have assistance when there are guests. Qualified Chef applicants will excel in seafood preparations, have wide culinary repertoire (e.g. Peruvian, Modern Japanese, and Healthy Mediterranean), superb plating skills, and extensive experience handling and sourcing fine ingredients from raw fish to select meats to high quality produce. In the spirit of summer, the grill with be well used so Chefs will be comfortable creating memorable backyard barbecues. While entertaining will be primarily casual, knowledge is formal entertaining is a must. Equally important as culinary skill is the ability for the Chef to adapt to changing needs, guests, and schedules.
